About the Opportunity
Wajax is seeking a skilled Electric Motor Systems Technician to join our dedicated team of mechanical professionals. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and repairing a wide range of electro-mechanical equipment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Inspect various types of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions.
- Test the condition of windings according to company procedures and industry standards.
- Dismantle and repair damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
- Rewind various types of electro-mechanical equipment, including armatures, wound rotors, and transformers.
- Test rewound equipment according to company procedures and industry standards.
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
About You:
- Registered EMST Apprentice or Journeyman Red Seal, Electric Motor Systems Trade Certification.
- 5+ years of experience as an EMST.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
