Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Blue Ocean Freight Inc. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll administration, including preparing paycheques and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:

Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
