Clayco Construction Limited, a leading construction company in the Municipal Group of Companies, is seeking a skilled Concrete Labourer to join their team in New Brunswick. As a Concrete Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the completion of concrete restoration projects in the Saint John area.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Concrete Labourer will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labour duties, including concrete demolition, cleaning, and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete restoration and/or finishing, and be willing to work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demolish concrete using handheld chippers and jack hammers.
  • Clean and repair areas using water blasting or sand blasting.
  • Install and remove formwork.
  • Mix and place concrete.
  • Install waterproofing systems.
  • Operate equipment such as man lifts and skid steers.
  • Load, unload, and move construction materials and debris around the worksite.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Experience in concrete demolition, restoration, and/or finishing is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
  • Occasional travel throughout the Maritimes.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
