Lead Audit Specialist / Performance Audit Manager
The Government of Nova Scotia is looking for a dedicated professional to join our Performance Audit Team as a Lead Audit Specialist or Performance Audit Manager. This role will involve direct reporting to an Audit Principal.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting phases of performance audits
- Create comprehensive audit strategies and assess operational systems
- Identify, analyze, and report on audit findings
- Support the training and mentorship of junior audit personnel
- Occasional travel within the province may be necessary
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Recent experience in internal auditing, program evaluation, or policy analysis is essential
- Strong analytical skills and effective time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP and CAAT software
- Experience in health administration or public health sectors
Compensation Details
- Lead Audit Specialist (EC 10): $79,000 - $99,000 annually
- Performance Audit Manager (EC 12): $95,000 - $119,000 annually
