Personal Support Worker

The Caregiver PSW plays a vital role in delivering personalized care and companionship to clients, ensuring they can comfortably remain in their homes. This position involves adhering to a detailed care plan tailored to each client's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care:
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Support mobility through safe transfers, ambulation, and the use of assistive devices.
- Help with toileting needs, meal preparation, and feeding assistance.
- Companionship:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, offering respite for family members.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
- Medication Assistance:
- Support clients in managing their medications as prescribed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program or similar training is preferred.
- Ability to pass relevant skills assessments.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
