Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Systems projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing projects according to scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Develop and execute project execution plans, communications plans, procurement plans, risk registers, schedules, budgets, and other necessary documents.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Oversee project monitoring and control, including cost control, forecasting, schedule management, change management, and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient workflows and mutually beneficial working relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve problems, and propose solutions to improve service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Financial Management: Review project budgets, control project costs, and manage project profitability, revenue forecasts, and invoicing.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Project Closure: Manage the process of project completion, acceptance, and closure.
  • Compliance: Uphold all company policies, procedures, and best practices, and comply with Carmeuse Systems ISO requirements and legislated safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the mining and industrial industry.
  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering or a technical science (Mechanical, Industrial, or Process engineering preferred), with registration an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in spoken and written English, with bilingualism in Spanish preferred.
  • Skills: Integrity, self-awareness, courage, respect, compassion, and resilience, with the ability to learn agile and flex influence while communicating the vision, showing gratitude, and collaborating effectively.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Engineering Documents: Ability to read engineering documents, such as process and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Methodical and logical approach to solving problems.
  • Project Execution: Experience executing projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, with demonstrable teamwork and maturity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Commercial Understanding: Strong commercial understanding of engineering contracts and project management.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical and detailed-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team, recognize high performance, and encourage creativity and risk-taking.
