Job Summary
The Manager for the Structural Repairs Group will oversee the engineering team responsible for developing certified repair instructions for commercial aircraft in service. This team comprises designers and stress analysts working on aircraft structural constraints. The Manager will provide technical leadership for the group, act as a liaison with the Chief Engineer, and manage integration and process maintenance to support group activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural repair team and provide direction, goals, and vision.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to manage team needs and career plans.
  • Establish procedures to simplify interfaces within and outside the group.
  • Provide technical direction to ensure design activities' quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Product Support Engineers on repair requests.
  • Monitor key metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Minimum five years of experience in aircraft structure modification or repair. Minimum five years of stress analysis experience. Strong communication skills with management, experts, and internal/external clients. Experience with Catia V5 or V6. Functional knowledge of English and French. Management experience is a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
