Job Title: Senior Cloud Native Software Developer

Agfa HealthCare is a leading provider of imaging IT software solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Native Software Developer to join our team in Waterloo, Ontario.

As a Senior Cloud Native Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software within a project scope, ensuring that work products meet all requisite software development practices and sanctioned work processes.

You will participate in the architecture and design of large software components for project teams, contribute to the estimates of software component designs, and review the work of team members completing elements of designs.

Additionally, you will develop and execute unit and integration test plans and procedures, and interface with other software developers regarding the results of tests.

You will acquire knowledge of industry and company standards, tools, and technology with a focus on pragmatic application to business-prioritized software solutions through self-study.

Requirements:

  • College/University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related degree/diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in hands-on development, design, and coding experience with Java/Angular/Springboot
  • Highly skilled with deployment pipelines using HELM and Kubernetes
  • End-to-end test automation experience
  • Solid understanding of Oracle & SQL
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly absorb new concepts and technologies
  • Good verbal and written communication and knowledge transfer skills
  • Team player and able to solve problems independently
  • Confident in an agile work environment
  • Solid commitment to quality software development
