Job Summary:
The Travel Coordinator is responsible for facilitating corporate travel for CPKC employees while focusing on service and cost effectiveness. This role requires a strong customer service focus, previous travel agency experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, book, and arrange itineraries for hotels, flights, and car rentals using Concur or Sabre or through our travel agency
- Provide information and guidance to complete a travel reservation, including restrictions, terms, and conditions of travel services
- Connect with suppliers to collect and exchange information regarding hotels/airline/car rentals
- Enter data into our software and complete client files, reservation information, payment details, and follow proper accounting requirements
- Assist in resolving employees' travel problems and make suggestions for improving work flows and processes
- Assist with Master Card reconciliation on a weekly basis in preparation for monthly reports
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements:
- University or College Diploma/degree in Travel preferred and/or equivalent travel-related work experience
- Good knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS (Sabre), and experience in a call-center environment
- Exhibit strong digital literacy, with familiarity in Excel, Outlook, and Shared Drives
- Required hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00 pm

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
