Job Title: Loader Operator

Veolia is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team. As a Loader Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist haulage drivers at the start of shift to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
  • Monitor and empty bins using a forklift, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in conveyor belt clean-ups and janitorial duties throughout the plant.
  • Maintain a clean processing floor area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assist the maintenance department as required, performing routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Record daily instrument readings, ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Collaborate with machine operators and other team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Clean work areas and equipment, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate with a minimum post-secondary education.
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Program training is an asset.
  • Forklift license and heavy equipment operator credentials are preferred.
  • 1-2 years of general laborer experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Licensed to operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
  • At least six months of experience in a related position and environment is preferred.
  • Experience with various machinery, vehicles, and material handling equipment is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding work with attention to detail.
  • Can get dusty and recycling odors may be present.
  • Own transportation is required.
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM and 2:30 PM-10:30 PM, with overtime opportunities.
