Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut and trim carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer demands
  • Prepare standard cuts of meat and wrap them for sale
  • Remove bones from meat and weigh products for accuracy
  • Cut poultry into parts and price meat products for sale
  • Provide excellent customer service and sell meats to customers
  • Grind meats and slice cooked meats as needed
  • Prepare special orders and displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a meat cutting or processing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods and physically demanding work
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Accurate and reliable with excellent judgement and organizational skills
