About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Caretaker to join our team at St. Mary and St. Patrick Schools in Taber. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and maintain a safe and clean environment for the school and community
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs and upkeep of school buildings and equipment
  • Operate hand and power tools, as well as ground maintenance equipment
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing of school facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Current WHMIS certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Experience as a custodian or in a related field
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, ground maintenance equipment, and cleaning equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision
