Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Border Paving Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as graders, pavers, and screeds to perform various tasks in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, pavers, and screeds to perform tasks such as grading, paving, and finishing.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
  • Understand and follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Complete onboard and other logs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
  • Prepare accident reports.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding work requiring handling of heavy loads.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Steel-toed safety boots required.
