Position Overview

The Senior Social Media Specialist is an expert in executing social media advertising initiatives and possesses extensive knowledge of various advertising platforms, including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

This role reports to the Account Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for leading the implementation of paid social media strategies while ensuring the highest quality of deliverables. The ideal candidate understands strategic frameworks and is adept at analyzing substantial data sets to derive actionable insights that inform optimizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Paid Social Supervisor/Manager in crafting media strategies that align with client objectives.
  2. Present strategic plans and performance analyses to clients.
  3. Oversee campaign execution, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and tactical implementation.
  4. Mentor junior team members on best practices for platform utilization.
  5. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to achieve client objectives.
  6. Ensure high-quality standards for all client deliverables.
  7. Act as the primary contact for clients and various stakeholders.

Qualities of a Successful Senior Social Media Specialist:

  1. In-depth understanding of the nuances of major social media advertising platforms.
  2. Ability to articulate complex solutions to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  3. Proactive in identifying potential issues and adopting a solution-oriented mindset.
  4. Passionate about data analysis and uncovering significant insights.
  5. Comprehends client objectives and utilizes this understanding to guide ongoing analysis and recommendations.
  6. A collaborative team player with a positive, strategic outlook.
  7. Committed to continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Paid Social Media buying and planning across multiple platforms for medium to large clients.
  2. Bachelor's degree; a focus in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications is preferred.
  3. Technical expertise in social media advertising channels (Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.).
  4. Experience in presenting data and insights to diverse audiences.
  5. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Certifications such as Facebook Blueprint, Twitter Flight School, and Snapchat Certification are advantageous.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
