Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Bakery Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bakery area, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  2. Ensure the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  3. Verify that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  4. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  5. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  6. Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise.
  7. Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to customer service and a keen eye for detail. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.85. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
