Job Summary:

Google Cloud is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, influencing and coaching a distributed team of developers.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of our customers, leveraging Google's cutting-edge technology and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and solve complex business problems.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
