In a relief capacity, oversees the delivery and processing of mail operations within a designated area.
This role encompasses the management of letter carriers, Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers (RSMCs), and Customer Service Representatives (CUS) tasked with mail delivery, as well as the effective manual processing of mail during assigned shifts.
Acts as the representative of the organization, regularly communicating performance expectations, business updates, and results to team members.Below are the primary responsibilities and requirements for the Facilities Operations Supervisor,
Key Responsibilities:
For mail processing, supervises the handling of all mail classes within a postal facility. Advocates for and implements workplace safety and health initiatives for their team.
Addresses and resolves health and safety concerns promptly and efficiently, and may serve as a member of the local health and safety committee.
Manages human resources processes such as staffing, performance evaluations, disability management, and attendance oversight.Estimates workload demands to ensure adequate staffing levels, and recommends or authorizes overtime as necessary.
Investigates performance irregularities and strives to enhance productivity by implementing best practices. Shares insights and results with the team.Maintains administrative records regarding processed volumes and employee attendance in SAP. Conducts administrative duties related to shift operations. Generates reports, resolves data discrepancies, and performs other administrative tasks associated with a leadership role.
Fosters positive relationships with external stakeholders, including bargaining unit representatives, contractors, customers, and the general public.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., familiar with the key features of each software program).
