Job Summary:

The Electric Motor Mechanic will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Manual dexterity
  • Physically demanding work environment
