Job Summary

1535179 ALBERTA LTD. DBA ROOMI HOLDING is seeking a skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to improve overall performance.
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving in mountainous terrain.
  • Professionalism: Maintain high levels of professionalism in customer service and interactions.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed.
  • Team Driving: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Specialized Trucking: Operate and drive lighter, special-purpose trucks.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • International Transport: Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Payment and Receipt: Pay and receive payments for goods.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.
  • Dangerous Goods Transport: Transport and handle hazardous materials safely.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Truck Type: Operate flatbed trucks.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess national transportation experience.
  • Work Conditions: Work in a variety of conditions, including sitting.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making skills.
