About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at K Sidhu Contracting Ltd. as a Construction Helper. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as lumber, tools, and equipment, from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Erecting Scaffolding: Help to set up and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other temporary structures on construction sites.
  • Mixing and Pouring Concrete: Assist in mixing and pouring concrete, as well as spreading and finishing the material.
  • Assisting with Framing: Help to frame houses, erect walls, and build roofs, under the supervision of experienced construction workers.
  • Leveling Earth: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications, using hand tools and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Piling Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on construction sites.
  • Removing Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job is essential.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will be working outdoors, at heights, and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: The job requires manual dexterity, the ability to handle heavy loads, and the capacity to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
