About the Role

CWB is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for providing credit structuring, credit underwriting, risk management, and client-facing support for a complex and diversified client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales teams to support the branch through effective and timely credit underwriting for new and existing borrowing clients.
  • Manage risks and day-to-day client relationships for Mid-Market commercial clients.
  • Use knowledge of credit policies and arrangements to apply risk mitigation skills and ensure appropriate measures are put into place.
  • Proactively manage risk with prudent lending recommendations, including appropriate and consistent monitoring and due diligence.
  • Connect with clients daily and provide critical retention touch points for high-value clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Approximately 6 years of experience within functions of risk management, banking, business lending, including significant direct experience with commercial credit underwriting across a broad range of industries.
  • Direct leadership and coaching experience.
