Staff Accountant Job Description

Our boutique accounting firm in Markham is seeking a driven Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be mentored by the management team to become a skilled accountant and professional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare client year-end files, including compilations and review engagements
  • Develop and maintain financial statements
  • Prepare personal, corporate, and trust tax returns
  • Assist with corporate restructuring projects
  • Support succession and estate planning projects
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting
  • Working towards the CPA designation is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
