Pharmacy Operations Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix in Lethbridge. As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, dispensing medication, and maintaining the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operations of the pharmacy, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers
  • Dispense medication and maintain the dispensary
  • Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management
  • Communicate with other healthcare professionals within the circle of care to provide customer care
  • Maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy
  • Review and maintain workflow queues on a daily basis
  • Regularly review 'will call' bins and stock to identify expired inventory
  • Oversight of current stock levels and medication orders from wholesaler
Requirements:
  • Independent thinking and decision making
  • Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs

  • Strong customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of pharmacy systems
