We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Dawood's Meat Co. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our customers.
Responsibilities- Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare meat for sale
- Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands
- Wrap and package prepared meats for display and sale
- Remove bones from meat to ensure quality and safety
- Weigh meats for sale to ensure accurate pricing
- Cut poultry into parts for customer convenience
- Sell meats to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Grind meats to meet customer requests
- Slice cooked meats for customer convenience
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to attract customers
- Work under pressure to meet customer demands
- Stand for extended periods to perform tasks
- Be physically demanding to lift and move heavy meat products
- Be accurate and dependable in all tasks
- Have excellent oral communication skills to interact with customers
- Be organized and reliable to meet deadlines
- Work as a team player to achieve department goals
