Position Overview:

We are in search of a Data Engineer who will be instrumental in developing robust data pipelines. The successful candidate will have a strong background in constructing data lakes and warehouses, alongside familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning principles. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of our data, enabling informed business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the infrastructure necessary for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse data sources utilizing the Azure toolset.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from various systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Oversee the management of our data lake and warehouse within the Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Monitor data quality across all pipelines and databases to uphold the highest standards.
  • Establish and maintain best practices in data engineering and integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess their data requirements and provide actionable insights.
  • Prioritize data security, safeguarding all stored, processed, or transmitted information against unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of Big Data, Delta Lake, and Data Warehouse technologies, particularly with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Proficient in database principles, SQL, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and methodologies.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with Data Science tools (e.g., R, SQL, Python) and Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., Databricks ML, TensorFlow).
  • Desirable to have skills in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Working knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Preferred certifications from Microsoft or other relevant industry bodies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a foundation in mathematics and statistics.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in the evolving data technology landscape.
