As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining our heavy equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment and performing repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles
  • Repairing and servicing machine attachments and performing major repair work when necessary
  • Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed and reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship Documentation
  • Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Previous maintenance experience with Komatsu Dozers, Hitachi or John Deere Excavators is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of computer testing technologies and knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment
  • Good communication skills
