Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Produce Department Manager to lead our team and drive sales growth in the produce department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the receipt and processing of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient use of equipment.
  2. Maintain a visually appealing sales floor by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date items, and creating engaging product displays.
  3. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of Produce Associates, fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers with a smile and promoting products and services to drive sales.
  5. Collaborate with the SWAS team to plan and execute merchandising programs, ensuring in-stock levels and optimal inventory management.
  6. Manage claims and returns, secure merchandise, and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  7. Complete and maintain accurate paperwork, including inventory tracking reports, throwaway records, and assignment notes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in produce management, with experience in inventory management, customer service, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Location

This role is based at our Strathroy, ON location.
