Job Title: Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

Telesat is a leading global satellite operator, providing reliable and secure satellite-delivered communications solutions worldwide to broadcast, telecommunications, corporate and government customers for over 50 years.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Infrastructure Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for the proposal, design, and implementation of civil and electrical infrastructure to meet Telesat's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Infrastructure Engineering team to design and oversee construction of Telesat and customer infrastructure, including both retrofit of building facilities and development of green-field antenna sites.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and other engineering teams to understand project requirements and allocate appropriate resources for both pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Manage budgets for projects carried out within your team.
  • Support writing of proposals to customers requiring infrastructure development.
  • Manage tender process for contractors bidding to carry out infrastructure development work.
  • Manage on-site implementation as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Licensed as a professional engineer (P.Eng).
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience with developing solutions for Canada's Arctic is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
