Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road Specialist to join our team at Jardeg-Construction in Edmonton, AB. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson, you will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and rebuilds on a wide range of heavy equipment and specialty tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and specialty tools
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with heavy equipment and tools
  • Perform repairs and rebuilds on heavy equipment and tools
  • Work with a variety of equipment including generators, light plants, zoom booms, and more

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, along with some trade school or equivalent training
  • Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) - Off Road Journeyperson/ Heavy Duty Mechanic (HDM) Journeyperson certification
  • At least 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of support equipment
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication skills to complete daily service reports
