We're a community of builders committed to creating better communities, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our team. As a Civil Engineering Intern in our Ottawa office, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and deficiency walks to ensure quality standards are met

• Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work to ensure timely completion

• Track site progress and deficiencies to identify areas for improvement

• Verify site conditions and coordinate with drawings and quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy

• Update drawings and coordinate work specific scope and tracking progress photos

• Conduct trade quote reviews to verify material quantities, hours, and rates

• Input and update deficiency logs to maintain accurate records

• Participate in project meetings and produce as-built drawings to maintain record keeping

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field

• Bilingual in English and French

• Eligible for Government security clearance (Basic Reliability)

• Passion for working in a construction environment

• Experience with computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting

• Self-motivation with a hands-on approach

• Prior field construction experience is considered an asset
