Industrial Steamfitter/Pipefitter Opportunity

INVISTA Canada's nylon manufacturing site in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Industrial Steamfitter/Pipefitter to join our team. As a key member of our polymer and fibres manufacturing plant, you will work on a wide range of equipment and processes, both old and new, in multiple areas of our operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
  • Support the operation in both preventative and reactive maintenance work processes and provide feedback to optimize plant reliability.
  • Assist Millwright work such as process pump and compressor repair and installation.
  • Perform daily tasks using SAP data management system. Training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Steamfitter Red Seal license (307A) along with a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent working experience as a Steamfitter/Pipefitter.
  • Availability and willingness to work shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Able to work in a tobacco-free environment.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Physical condition and health compatible with duties of industrial trades.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Fabrication/repair of ASME B31.1, B31.3 piping.
  • Repair of ASME Section VIII pressure vessels and ASME Section I Boilers.
  • Fabrication and repair of structural steel to CSA Std. W59.
  • Welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloy materials.
  • Previous certifications held in CSA W47.1 and/or TSSA Welder/welding operator certificates would be considered an asset.
