Opportunity Overview

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join their team at Dartmouth General Hospital. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity that offers a competitive incentive program and a flexible schedule.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care for patients admitted to the hospitalist service at Dartmouth General Hospital. They will ensure that patients are appropriately notified/consulted regarding results in a timely manner and coordinate care with members of the interprofessional team for the provision of quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for patients admitted to the hospitalist service
  • Ensure timely notification/consultation of patients regarding results
  • Coordinate care with interprofessional team members
  • Participate in quality rounds and quality reviews
  • Attend site-based physician meetings
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital medicine and excellent communication skills. They will be a team player who is committed to delivering high-quality care and maintaining competence.
