About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Moulder to join our team at Lake Foundry (2020) Ltd. as a Metal Casting Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make Sand Moulds: Utilize patterns, moulding boxes, sand, and hand tools to create high-quality sand moulds following established bench, floor, or pit moulding methods.
  • Pour Molten Metal: Safely pour molten metal into moulds to produce precise metal castings.
  • Design and Create Cores: Develop and implement cores for use in moulds to form holes or void spaces in castings.
  • Operate Casting Machines: Set up, adjust, and operate various casting machines to ensure efficient and accurate metal casting processes.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle various tools and equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality metal castings.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position with a standard workweek of 30 to 40 hours.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
