Educational Requirements

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in a restaurant setting, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances by preparing suitable dishes.
  • Prepare special meals for patients based on instructions from dietitians or chefs.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may involve supervising other cooks and kitchen staff.
