Job Summary

The Executive Director will be responsible for leading our team in delivering integrated health and housing services to individuals with long-term mental health and substance use challenges. This role will oversee the operations of our organization, ensuring that our mission and values are reflected in every service provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and qualified team of staff and volunteers by providing career coaching, training, and team-building opportunities for their growth and personal development
    • Provide leadership, management, and performance reviews to clinic project staff, including recruitment, contract signing, salary administration, and scheduling
  • Operational Planning and Administration
    • Plan, organize, and lead the organization's operations and programs, ensuring alignment with our strategic plan
    • Implement organizational strategic plan, including identifying and recommending facilities, staff, and equipment needs
    • Maintain current, relevant, and accurate reports on the organization's results to the Board of Directors
  • Fundraising and Financial Acumen
    • Develop, research, and implement grant and fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission and goals
    • Prepare and communicate accurate and timely analysis of grants and fundraising results, variances, and performance trends
    • Coordinate and lead budget reviews and periodic forecasts for each project area
    • Ensure strong funding relationships with internal and external stakeholders that align with and support strategic goals
    • Oversee financial management in accordance with accounting policies, procedures, and reporting metrics
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Community Relations
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community, business, government agencies, and other stakeholders as needed, fostering collaboration and support
    • Engage in proactive media and community outreach through various channels, including social media, print, radio, TV, and involvement in local committees and councils
Requirements
  • At least five (5) years of not-for-profit management or supervisory experience, ideally in the public or social welfare sector
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Administration, Social Sciences, Social Work, Health, Planning, etc.)
  • Strong financial, operational, and administrative management skills
  • Lead with empathy, value collaboration, and are a skilled relationship builder and communicator
  • Take initiative to move projects forward and a creative problem-solver
  • Skilled multi-tasker who works well under high-pressure situations
