Responsibilities- Actively participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of embedded and mobile products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration, implementation, and testing of product features.
- Focus on performance optimization and enhancements, including video streaming latency, platform boot time, and resource utilization.
- Develop and integrate low-level Linux and Android drivers for various peripheral devices.
- Engage in cybersecurity assessments and address vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design through implementation to integration and deployment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AOSP BSP and/or middleware development.
- Proficient in object-oriented software development with a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- 3+ years of practical experience with Android/AOSP components, frameworks, and architecture.
- Experience in platform software development for Linux and/or Android.
- Commercial software development experience in C, C++, Java, and Kotlin.
- Familiarity with the Android development toolkit, testing frameworks, and processes.
- Knowledge of the Android security subsystem: SELinux, Trusty TEE, etc.
- Proficient with SCM tools such as GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience in board bring-up and developing Board Support Packages.
- Device driver development experience for peripherals and buses on Linux/Android platforms: Video (MIPI), WiFi, BLE, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB.
- Understanding of Linux and Android graphical and video subsystems.
- Familiarity with hardware technical data sheets and experience with processor architectures: ARM, x86, MIPS, PPC.
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix development environment.
- Ability to perform complex diagnostics and investigations based on limited information.
- Creative, disciplined, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivery and schedules.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in developing native Android applications.
- Familiarity with OpenGL for video stream processing.
