About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Analysis: Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, analyzing data to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices in mechanical and job-specific skills.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established quality and safety procedures, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright (Ontario Certificate of Qualification #433A) and any other relevant certifications.
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and machinery repair and overhaul, with experience working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
