About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finishing Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Construction Ltd. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate cranes, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Site Setup and Dismantling: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Support Operations: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and support drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, working closely with our experienced team members.
  • Site Preparation: Level earth to fine grade specifications, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and secure special attachments to equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
