Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Private Home. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as administering medications and providing emotional support.
  • Household Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Errands and Transportation: Accompany clients on errands and provide transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor clients' health and safety, reporting any concerns to management and providing first aid when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker at Private Home, you will work in a non-smoking environment, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. You will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks involved.
