Mid-Level Quality Assurance Analyst
CB Canada is currently seeking a Mid-Level Quality Assurance Analyst to enhance our client’s software delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of software applications to ensure alignment with business objectives. Ensure that web applications fulfill all specified functional and non-functional criteria. Design manual testing procedures and implement automated testing frameworks.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized test scenarios based on both functional and non-functional specifications. Engage in test planning activities, and as part of an Agile team, develop test cases for user stories in the current sprint, adhering to acceptance criteria.
- Participate in reviews of test cases and implement necessary modifications. Generate and utilize test data essential for executing test scenarios.
- Carry out test executions, including both manual and automated assessments, and document the outcomes.
- Identify and report issues and defects, providing sufficient context for evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with developers to reproduce, clarify, and document identified defects. Employ testing tools and adhere to established processes to complete testing tasks. Ensure traceability of tests to requirements within the defined scope. Function as an individual contributor.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance for web-based technologies.
- Proficient in working with requirement documentation and design mockups, developing test cases, logging defects, and conducting regression testing.
- Experience in user experience testing, functionality verification, integration testing (API), and automated testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with testing web applications and API services.
- Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Selenium, and BrowserStack is advantageous.
- Strong client-facing skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Contract Details:
This position is a 6-month rolling contract with potential for extended engagement.
Work Arrangement:
The role requires a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work in the office periodically. Full vaccination is a prerequisite.
