Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Aki Transport Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the condition of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity license check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent work term. The work language is English, and the hours of work are 40 to 60 hours per week.
