Position Overview: As a Senior Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge product management methodologies while upholding best practices across the organization. Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams to enhance product management and ownership functions, providing essential guidance and mentorship to your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and executing product ownership and management standards to ensure uniformity across all teams.
  • Working alongside senior management to shape and refine product strategy, aligning it with overarching business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to collect, clarify, and prioritize product requirements effectively.
  • Partnering with development teams to assess technical feasibility and optimize engineering resource allocation.
  • Monitoring and evaluating product performance metrics, leveraging data to drive ongoing enhancements and informed decision-making.
  • Offering support and mentorship to foster the skills and performance of team members, aiding their professional growth.
  • Prioritizing, refining, and managing the product backlog to ensure it aligns with business objectives.
  • Leading grooming sessions with the development team to ensure clarity on user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Advocating for user and stakeholder needs during sprint reviews and planning meetings.
  • Collaborating with the QA team to guarantee that released features meet high-quality standards and fulfill user requirements.
  • Conducting market analysis to gain insights into user needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Undertaking additional projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role or a similar capacity is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Profound knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira and Trello.
  • Experience in an API-first environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of deployment strategies, including feature flags and blue-green deployments.
  • Basic technical proficiency to communicate effectively with development teams.
  • Strong business insight with the ability to balance technical and commercial requirements.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making with a focus on achieving results.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Scrum Product Owner Certification is a plus.
