About the Role

As a Snowmaking Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our slopes are ready for skiers and snowboarders. You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining snowmaking equipment, creating ideal conditions for a world-class winter experience.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and maintain snowmaking equipment, including performing pre- and post-operation checks.
  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks such as topping up fluids, cleaning the equipment, greasing components, and refueling.
  • Set up snowmaking systems by laying out, connecting, and charging hoses.
  • Monitor and adjust snowmaking pumps and guns to ensure optimal snow production.
  • Disassemble, disconnect, thaw, and drain hoses for efficient teardown.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Snowmaking Team Lead.
  • Contribute to snow removal and snow farming operations, including snowmaking and snow fencing.
  • Promote a safe and clean working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Your Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with snowmaking or terrain building, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of basic equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs, perform manual labor, stand for extended periods, and work in all outdoor conditions.
  • Comfort working with high voltage and high-water pressure systems.
  • Basic understanding of mountain resort maintenance and ski/snowboarding terrain requirements.
  • Team-oriented approach with a desire to contribute positively to the resort community.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.
