The Produce Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs, foster customer loyalty, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
- Produce Management: Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives related to produce management.
- Inventory Control: Order, receive, prep, and merchandise produce product in accordance with company inventory control procedures, as required.
- Sales Promotion: Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products and providing recommendations to customers.
- Store Maintenance: Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per Company requirements.
- Training and Development: Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and possess above-average communication skills (oral and written).
- Physical Demands: May be required to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching.
