• Provide expert advice, training and guidance to departments handling employer/employee relations, grievances and disciplinary actions, which are critical aspects in the development and maintenance of a productive and harmonious working environment in GN departments, boards and agencies.
• A degree from a recognized university in Industrial Relations, Business (with a Human Resources or Labour Relations major), Psychology, or Labour Law.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• A good understanding of compensation policies and practices.
• The ability to communicate in French, one of Nunavut's official languages (i.e., Inuktut, English and French).
• Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture and land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut.
