About the Role

Villaguer Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our interior systems department, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Install Drywall Sheets: Measure and cut drywall sheets to fit specific areas, ensuring a precise fit and smooth finish.
  • Smooth and Finish: Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Openings and Framing: Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets, and install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
  • Insulation and Vapor Barriers: Install thermal and sound insulation, and vapor barriers to ensure a comfortable and energy-efficient indoor environment.
  • Layout and Alignment: Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, and utilize laser alignment systems to ensure accurate and precise installations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
