Job Title: Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

Viacore Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Services Team in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine wiring layouts and electrical system configurations
  • Install, replace, and repair electrical equipment, including lighting fixtures, switches, and circuit breaker panels
  • Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form electrical circuits
  • Test electrical systems and equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical motors, generators, and industrial storage batteries
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems and equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current valid driver's license
  • Must possess a 309A or 442A Certificate of Qualification or a related trade experience
  • Basic experience with rigging equipment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
