Your responsibilities will include the meticulous preparation and presentation of various menu items, ensuring that all dishes are crafted in accordance with established specifications while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

In this position, you will maintain a tidy and organized kitchen environment, complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the regulations set forth by the Board of Health. You will also be required to operate under the guidelines of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is not mandatory but will be viewed favorably.
  • Completion of a safe food handling course is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in knife skills is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is essential.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of culinary training or relevant experience in a hotel setting.
  • Experience in high-volume cooking is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong customer service skills are necessary for interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Capability to lift weights up to 25kg.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy kitchen environment.
