Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team at Miller Paving Limited (HO). As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing top-notch repairs and servicing to our fleet of equipment, ensuring our clients receive the level of service they expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, and equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify problems with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Document daily service activities to maintain shop organization
  • Promote and lead a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants
Requirements
  • 310T or 310S License (or apprentice)
  • Valid G license
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season
  • Available to work nights and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • DZ license, an asset
  • Experience in heavy construction equipment, an asset
  • Roadside service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
  • Welding and fabrication experience
