About the Role:
TransUnion LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineering Lead to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Global Technology team, you will be responsible for delivering data engineering practice in Canada, working closely with product owners, architects, analysts, and engineers to elaborate business and technology requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver data engineering practice in Canada by having a clear understanding of business value and customer needs, and the ability to translate these needs into the architecture, design, build, and delivery of data solutions while leveraging/reusing TU global/international solutions.
- Create, maintain, and own data solutions, and leading the ongoing delivery and management of data.
- Work closely with product owners, architects, analysts, and engineers to elaborate business and technology requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams from ideation to launch of data solutions ensuring coordination between data and application platforms, solution architecture, information security standards, operational processes, and data governance so that the final product meets business, technology, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive KPIs critical to software and data quality.
- Communicate effectively with the business and technology stakeholders setting expectations of any operational impacts of new/changed data solutions.
- Own and manage metadata, data quality, standards, governance, and metrics for Canada leveraging Canada GT, GIO, InfoSec, Ops, and US data acquisition & services teams.
- Engage and collaborate with partners and stakeholders to gather input and communicate plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Perform relevant Data Stewardship activities when necessary.
